Allegiant Stadium

Allegiant Stadium is the domed home of the Las Vegas Raiders and UNLV football at 3333 Al Davis Way, just west of Interstate 15 and Mandalay Bay. It opened in 2020 with 65,000 seats (expandable to 71,835), hosted Super Bowl LVIII in 2024, and is scheduled to host Super Bowl LXIII in 2029. [1]

What makes Allegiant Stadium a big deal?

It took Las Vegas from a city with no NFL team to one that hosts the sport's biggest events. Construction started in late 2017 [1]. The first game was played without fans on Sept. 21, 2020 [1]. Since then the stadium has hosted SummerSlam (2021), Super Bowl LVIII (2024), WrestleMania 41 (2025) and WrestleMania 42 (2026) [1].

    Nevada approves $750 million for a domed stadium

    Governor Brian Sandoval signed SB1 and AB1, raising hotel room taxes to fund $750 million toward the stadium that became Allegiant Stadium.[7]

    Construction begins on Allegiant Stadium

    Site preparation started in September; construction formally began in November.[1]

    Allegiant Stadium's first game

    The Raiders beat the Saints 34–24 on Monday Night Football. No spectators were admitted during the 2020 season.[1]
