What happened at Cashman Field?

Nearly every kind of Las Vegas pro sport passed through Cashman. It was home to Triple-A baseball from 1983 to 2018 [1]. In April 1996 the Oakland A's played six home games here while their Coliseum was renovated [4]. The XFL's Vegas Vipers played here in 2023 [1]. And since 2018 it has been home to Lights FC [5].

    The first Cashman Field, originally called Elks Stadium, went up on the same property as today's stadium and hosted football and rodeos before baseball arrived.[1]

    Baseball debuted at the downtown ballpark on May 21, 1948. The original Las Vegas Wranglers baseball club played there from 1947 to 1952 and again in 1957–58.[1]
